[00:00:00.0]
Let's work with master slides.
[00:00:04.0]
Here we have an empty slide, and this is slide number 1 as you can see. I can choose a master slide.
[00:00:11.0]
For example, bullets.
[00:00:13.0]
I could also resize my entire canvas from the bottom left pull-down menu.
[00:00:21.0]
I can change the percentage of my canvas. And this is very helpful in a lot of ways.
[00:00:27.0]
I'm going to go ahead and add some text, some dummy text here.
[00:00:30.0]
If I hit enter, of course it adds another bullet.
[00:00:33.0]
And the more I hit enter, the more bullets get added.
[00:00:36.0]
Now I'll choose a master slide, which is a different layout that you can pick and choose - and these are defaults.
[00:00:43.0]
If I pick and choose another layout, you see it gets rid of my bullets.
[00:00:48.0]
But if I choose another bulleted layout, it's going to rearrange the bullets I created.
[00:00:54.0]
And there you see, the title, and of course the bullets.
[00:00:58.0]
I can add a shape, and place the shape over where a photo could go.
[00:01:07.0]
Place a photo in this box. And notice that you see the position and width and height dialog box
[00:01:16.0]
as I'm dragging the object out.
[00:01:19.0]
And there, if I move it, you see a guide goes across the screen, and
[00:01:23.0]
it shows the position of that object, along with some other information.
[00:01:28.0]
And now I can add another slide by hitting the plus symbol, and that adds another slide in my slide show.
[00:01:35.0]
And then I can pick and choose the layout for that particular slide.
[00:01:39.0]
And you can double click the text and type what we like,
[00:01:43.0]
and I could also change the bulleted text. And every time I hit enter, it adds another bullet.
[00:01:49.0]
And I'll change this with another layout.
[00:01:52.0]
And you will see that the bullets are still preserved -
[00:01:54.0]
bullets to the right. And there you go, you see the content is preserved, unless you choose blank.
[00:02:01.0]
So you see, you can pick and choose several layouts.
[00:02:08.0]
Let's go ahead and change the title for this box: let's call it 'Woman and a dog'.
[00:02:16.0]
Now I going to import a graphic for the first time.
[00:02:18.0]
Very simple, very basic - you go to the edit menu, choose place and then choose your graphic.
[00:02:28.0]
And we have to go hunting for the graphic in our lesson files.
[00:02:32.0]
We have to open up our lesson files. I'm going to choose png.
[00:02:41.0]
And there you see. Now if I move this graphic down a little bit,
[00:02:45.0]
you'll see the crosshairs are telling me that it's dead center in the canvas.
[00:02:49.0]
And I could use the handlebars on the edge of the graphic to manipulate the shape of the graphic.
[00:02:57.0]
[00:02:58.0]
ic to manipulate the shape of the graphic.
